Two switches. One obsession with how a press should feel.
Every Hitpad runs on a switch we designed, tuned, and tested in-house.
Each is built for a different kind of player.
What is a Switch, Really?
A switch is the small moving part under every key on your controller or keyboard. The moment you press down, the switch decides three things.
Trigger distance
How far you have to press before the key registers
Actuation force
How hard you have to press to fire it
Bottom-out depth
How far the key travels in total
In a fighting game, a racing sim, or any game where reaction time is the whole game, these three numbers decide who moves first.
A switch that's too light fires on accident. A switch that's too heavy makes you late.
A switch that's just right disappears — you stop thinking about the key, and start thinking about the fight.
This is why we don't use off-the-shelf switches.
We Didn't Pick Switches. We Engineered Them.
Most controllers ship with whatever switch the factory has on hand. We took a different route.
HJK spent over a year tuning two switches from scratch — running dozens of prototypes, testing actuation curves, swapping stems and springs, and putting every revision in the hands of competitive players for real matches, not just feel tests.
Zanku:
Light. Sharp. The first to move.
The shorter travel and reduced force mean your inputs register earlier — perfect for rapid-fire combos, fast directional changes, and any move where being a few milliseconds faster is the difference between hit and whiff. The name comes from the Japanese 斬空 — to cut the air. That's what it should feel like: nothing in the way, nothing slowing you down.
Luke:
Grounded. Deliberate. The one that started it all.
Luke is heavier by design — and that weight is the point. The extra 3 grams of actuation force and slightly deeper bottom-out give every press a confident, grounded feel. Fewer accidental triggers. More control on the inputs that matter. On the Hitpad's compact layout, this is the switch that makes the device feel like an extension of your hand rather than a tool you're operating.
